Long An: 2 businesses received National Quality Awards 2018

The Prime Minister signed a Decision on awarding the 2018 National Quality Award to 75 businesses. Of which, 22 businesses were received the National Quality Gold Award and 53 ones were received the National Quality Award. Revenue of 75 enterprises is VND 106,000 billion, estimated profit is over VND 10,000 billion, and State budget contribution is nearly VND 8,000 billion; create jobs for more than 55,000 labourers.

Long An had 2 businesses receiving the award. To be more specific, Kizuna JV Joint Stock Company (Can Giuoc district) was received the National Quality Gold Award and Red Sun Energy Joint Stock Company (Duc Hoa district) was received the National Quality Award.

These businesses have to meet 7 criteria according to the Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA) of the Asia-Pacific Quality Organization. The total score of criteria is 1,000, including: The role of leadership (120 points); strategic planning (85 points); customer and market orientation (85 points); measuring, analyzing and managing knowledge (90 points); human resource management and development (85 points); operation management (85 points); performance results (450 points). Businesses which get 800 to 1,000 points will be received the Gold Award. Quality Awards are given to businesses reaching 600 points.

The National Quality Award is held annually by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology. It has been launched since 1996. Over 23 years of establishment and development, it has created a reputation for businesses, management agencies and consumers. The Prime Minister honour organizations and enterprises for their outstanding achievements in production, business, and improving product quality./.
