In the first 6 months of 2022, despite many difficulties and challenges, the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee achieved quite comprehensive results in all fields.

Total state budget revenue reached VND 12,216 billion, reaching 70.4 percent of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, of which domestic revenue reached more than 73 percent of the estimate. Economic growth rate (GRDP) reached 5.11 percent. With this growth rate, Long An province was ranked 6th out of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta.

At the conference, the delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying limitations and subjective reasons; propose many solutions to achieve and exceed the target of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee in 2022 at the highest level as well as improve and enhance the position of the province in the Mekong Delta and the Southern Key Economic Zone.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council – Nguyen Van Duoc requested the Provincial People's Committee and related branches to urgently complete the procedures to submit to the approval of the Provincial Planning for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in July 2022; closely, synchronously and effectively lead the socio-economic development tasks; strengthen monitoring, inspection, supervision and speeding up the implementation of breakthrough programs and key projects set out by the Provincial Party Congress.

In the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, he emphasized that vaccines are a "strategic weapon", a decisive factor and a foundation in epidemic prevention. Therefore, the province must focus on speeding up the 3rd and 4th vaccinations for people over 12 years old; complete all vaccinations for children from 5 to under 12 years old; absolutely not be negligent in epidemic prevention and control.
