In 11 months of 2019, the total retail sales of goods and services reached 82,055 billion VND, reaching 92.5 percent of the year plan, an increase of 14.9 percent over the same period in 2018. The increase in retail sales of goods in 11 months was due to the increase in purchasing power in many essential commodity groups. Besides, the supply of goods was plentiful, the price level was stable, there was no shortage or sudden price increases.

At the end of the year, the provincial People's Committee directed branches under the 389 Steering Committee to focus on inspecting to detect, prevent and promptly handle smuggling and illegal cross-border goods transportation, trading of fake and poor quality goods in the province; strictly control firecrackers, explosives, fireworks, drugs, and violent children's toys that negatively affect social order and security.

In addition, the provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Industry and Trade to strengthen inspection to ensure stability of the market, not to cause a shortage of local goods, sudden price increases; prevent fake goods, poor quality goods or not guarantee food safety, especially fresh and processed foods, cakes, jams, beverage, goods with high demand during Tet holiday./.
