Retail sales revenue continue to grow

The total retail sales of goods and service revenue in Long An province reached over 7,500 billion VND

Trade has continued to grow due to many reasons, in which businesses actively produce and distribute goods to consumers. Especially, in the province, many convenience stores have been established to serve the shopping needs of the people. Up to now, 34 Bach Hoa Xanh stores; 3 stores of San Ha Co., Ltd. (SanHàFoodstore); 5 Vinmart + stores have been put into operation in the province.

In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade has focused on trade promotion through many supply-demand connection programs to help businesses and cooperatives introduce their products. As a result, many agricultural products (rice, safe vegetables) have been connected and consumed in convenience store chains, collective kitchens in schools and industrial parks.

From now till the end of the year, the businesses start preparing goods for Tet. Therefore, units under the Provincial Steering Committee 389 have plans to actively control smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods. Accordingly, the units will actively inspect, control and prevent the transportation and trade of banned and smuggled goods; inspect the production and trade of counterfeit, poor quality and expired goods, measurement fraud. 

In addition, the inspection of food safety and hygiene will be focused, especially at supermarkets, trade centers, frozen warehouses, traditional markets, establishments that import frozen foods./.
