As of October 13, 2020, the total area of sown rice in the province reached 498,738 hectares, reaching 100.9 percent of the plan, as much as 98.8 percent over the same period. The harvested area was 444,181 hectares, the average yield (dry) was estimated at 6.02 tons per hectare, the output was 2.67 million tons, reaching 99.1 percent of the plan, up 2.4 percent over the same period.

Total development investment capital plan in 2020 the province has allocated to projects is 6,422.7 billion VND, by the end of October, the value of implementation volume is about 4,383.1 billion VND, reaching 68.2 percent of the plan; disbursement 4,366.4 billion VND, reaching 68 percent of the plan (the disbursement rate of the same period 66.9 percent).

Of which: 4,657.5 billion VND is managed by the province; the implemented volume value is about 3,227.4 billion VND, reaching 69.3 percent of the plan; the disbursement of 3,210.782 billion VND, reaching 68.9 percent of the plan (the same disbursement rate of the period is 69.5 percent). Funds managed by the district are 1,745.1 billion VND; the value of implementation and disbursement volume is 1,155.7 billion VND, reaching 65.5 percent of the plan (the same disbursement rate in the period is 60.2 percent).

About the domestic investment attraction: Long An had 113 newly-established enterprises in October with a total registered capital of 2,442 billion VND, the number of businesses decreased 32 percent and the registered capital increased 35 percent over the same period; 17 enterprises were dissolved, decreased 6 percent over the same period; 7 enterprises suspended business, equal to the same period. In the first 10 months of the year, 1,334 new businesses were established, with a total registered capital of 21,328 billion VND; In comparison with the same period, it increased by 01 percent in the number of newly-established enterprises, by 5.3 percent in registered capital.

Accumulated from the beginning of the year, 209 businesses were dissolved, an increase of 32 percent over the same period; the number of enterprises suspending their business was 276, an increase of 39 percent over the same period. Up to now, the province has 12,422 registered enterprises with a total registered capital of 328,143 billion VND. The budget collection has been focused and directed since the beginning of the year, however, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic such as the delay in production and business of enterprises, implementation of social disruption to prevent epidemics, and so on thus the result was low, decreased 6.2 percent over the same period. Credit activity has been basically stable, the ratio of bad debt is under control.

The whole province has 94 communes meeting new rural standards, accounting for 57.1 percent of the total number of communes in the province; in which, there are 4 communes meeting new-style rural standards. The average number of achieved criteria per commune of the whole province is 16.8 criteria per commune; 1 district (Chau Thanh district) meets the new-style rural standard; Tan An city has completed the task of building a new-style rural.
