In the situation that the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated, it ensures safety that the opening ceremony of the new school-year of Long An province is scheduled to be held on the morning of September 17, 2021 at Thien Ho Duong high school (in the townlet of Kien Tuong) and broadcast live on Long An Radio and Television Station.
After the opening ceremony, about 311,000 students at all levels from kindergarten to high school in the province will enter a special and unprecedented school-year. It is expected that high school students (including continuing education system) will learn online from September 20, 2021 via television channels and combine other flexible learning forms; Students of preschool, primary, and junior high schools (including continuing education system) will study directly at the school from October 4, 2021.
At the meeting, the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council suggested that the Education and Training sector of the province actively grasp the situation in order to have plans to organize safe and effective teaching and learning with flexible forms in according to the actual epidemic developments; prepare the conditions and platform for online learning and a full learning materials; mobilize resources to invest in teaching facilities and equipment, including resource estimation, call for timely socialization and support for disadvantaged students, associated with responding and deploying the program "Network and computers for students".
At the same time, the province implements the policy of tuition fee exemption for the first semester for students of public educational institutions; focuses on improving the quality of teachers, ensures a reasonable allocation of teachers among schools and localities, avoids the situation of redundant and insufficient teachers locally.
For the proposal of the Department of Education and Training related to the 2-shot vaccination for teachers and students aged 12 years old and older; difficulties in recruiting teachers in epidemic conditions; the arrangement of the school network; The allocation of post-secondary students in association with the construction of schools meeting national standards, the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council has noted and will propose to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies for considering and solving./.
