The Ong Muoi canal bridge was officially put into use
The bridge was built with a total cost of more than VND 450 million, in which Espérance ACTI (Switzerland) funded more than VND 410 million and local authority’s counterpart capital of VND 40 million. The reinforced concrete bridge is constructed with 33 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width, its load is 1.5 tons.
“It is very difficult for people here to travel over the temporary wooden bridge in many years because it has deteriorated. Now, it is more convenient and safer for people to travel and transport agricultural products, especially pupils going to school. We are very happy”, said Nguyen Van Tam, a resident living in Ong Let hamlet, Vinh Thuan commune.
Bridge put into use to create favorable conditions for the people to travel and transport agricultural products
It is known that Vinh Thuan commune has a system of interlaced canals serving well for irrigation of the fields. However, the transport system in the commune still faces limitation that leads to difficulties in daily activities, life and socio-economic development in the locality./.
