Accordingly, the total import-export turnover in the first 6 months of the year reached 6,155 million USD; Of which, exports reached 3.757 billion USD, incresed 16.4% over the same period, imports reached 2.398 billion USD, incresed 17.2% over the same period (44.41% of the whole year plan).

In recent times, the Department of Industry and Trade has regularly coordinated with agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Counselor, and the Vietnam Trade Office in other countries and border localities to provide information on market situations, policies, and laws of other countries to businesses.

To date, Long An's goods have been exported to 130 countries and territories with the participation of 900 import-export enterprises. In particular, agricultural and aquatic products have been exported to over 40 countries and territories. The proportion of processed agricultural and aquatic products increases year by year.

Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade is continuing to promote exports, support businesses to create new orders to consume output products, and promote production. At the same time, the Department also supports businesses to take advantage of commitments in Free Trade Agreements, especially CPTPP, EVFTA, and UKVFTA to promote exports, through guidance on applying rules of origin and issuing certificates of preferential origin to exploit opportunities from the agreements; expand export markets for Vietnamese goods through promoting trade, Vietnam Trade Office work abroad, and e-commerce development; support domestic businesses to participate in the supply chain of FDI enterprises, especially large global enterprises, and overseas distribution systems./.
