Many voters’ viewpoints sent to 24th session of Long An People's Council

3,545 voters attended the meeting with 325 opinions reflecting, proposing and suggesting in many fields.

Most voters were excited and strongly agreed with the results of the province's socio-economic development in 2020 in extremely difficult conditions, greatly affected by Covid -19 epidemic, climate change, and salty drought; socio-economic development orientations, ensuring national defense and security in 2021.

82 voters’opinions and recommendations related to 12 fields, mostly the transport sector (31 comments and recommendations), followed by the agricultural sector with (12 comments and recommendations).

In particular, in the field of agriculture: Thu Thua district voters proposed the province to soon have solutions to prevent saline water and fresh water storage for production. Vinh Hung district voters proposed to consider and invest in completing a system of 3 sluices on canal 61, Tuyen Binh commune.

Duc Hoa district voters said that the province needs to survey to build Cong Vu road on the canal N3-88 of Phuoc Hoa Irrigation Project in Thoi Moi Hamlet, Hoa Khanh Dong Commune.

Tan Tru district voters asked the province to survey and mend the dike along Vam Co Tay river (from Cong Ong Dam, Nhon Thanh Trung commune, Tan An city to the beginning of Le Van Tam street, Thanh Phong hamlet, Binh Lang commune, Tan Tru district). Can Duoc district voters: The province should allow the closed construction of Vam My Dien - Kinh Nuoc Man (the dyke line surrounding Long Huu Tay commune), etc.

In the field of transport: Thanh Hoa dictrict voters repeatedly proposed and considered the investment in the  asphalt of Provincial Road (PR) 817, passing through Thanh Hoa district. Because this section has not been asphalted since the formation of this route until now. The voters suggested to consider and invest in upgrading and expanding PR 836 (the section from Ba Tuyen Nhon intersection to the town center of Thanh Hoa district).

Tan Hung district voters repeatedly petitioned the province, speeding up the construction of PR 831E (the section from PR 819 to the People's Committee of Vinh Loi Commune), asphalting the Song Trang route (Thanh Hung commune - Hung Ha commune). They suggested soon to construct a bridge from Vinh Buu commune, Tan Hung district to Truong Xuan commune, Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province.

Thu Thua district voters propose, allocate investment capital for the system of bridges, mend PR 817. There is a plan to deploy the asphalt road from Long Thuan commune, Thu Thua district to Thanh Hoa district.

Can Giuoc district voters proposed the province to study and invest in expanding PR 826C. Currently, the road is very narrow, with high traffic density, it is very difficult for people to travel and transport goods, traffic safety is not guaranteed. Voters proposed to repair the manhole cover on PR 826C, in the center of Phuoc Lai commune.

Tan An city voters proposed to soon invest in upgrading a section of Cong Vu road, Huong Tho Phu commune (the last section to Vam Co Tay river), because this section is often flooded during high tide. At the same time, voters suggested to expand the intersection of Highway 62 - Hung Vuong street (ward 2), etc.

The field of planning and investment: In Can Giuoc district, the voters reflected a number of projects. Currently, many projects in the district are slow to be implemented, affecting the people's legitimate rights and interests. Some projects have not yet made public and transparent information on specific implementation schedules according to regulations. They proposed the province to review, inspect and rectify to accelerate the investment progress, publicly implement the progress of each stage of the projects (such projects as Dong Tam, Nam Sao, Hai Son, Phuc Long Van, Thai Son, etc.)

Duc Hoa dictrict voters: The province needs to reconsider the planning of the Hai Son industrial park that has existed for many years and has not cleared up and caused frustration among the people like a commercial area in Duc Hoa Ha commune.

Tan An city voters petitioned the province to delete the planning in Huong Tho Phu commune, including the College of Transport III and Tan Tao - Nam Quan, which lasted for many years and affected the people’s lives.

In addition, the province has taken measures to definitely handle the AEDC residential project (ward 3, Tan An city) that lasted for many years. Some people who bought land have paid in full, but so far they have not been granted a land use right certificate.

In addition, the voters also have opinions and recommendations on many issues in the field of industry and trade; money, banking; Information Communication; labor, invalids and society; medical; culture, fitness and tourism; policies; law enforcement; etc.

In particular, Can Giuoc district voters informed that the medical examination and treatment of health insurance continued to lack drugs, the hospital required patients to buy drugs from outside. Therefore, the voters recommend the province to rectify the above situation so as not to affect the people's legitimate interests.

And Thanh Hoa district voters proposed to consider and resolve the policy for the youth volunteering in the South to participate in the resistance war period before 1975. Because the proposal was sent to the Association of the former youth volunteers, the province has not been considered and resolved since 2017 up to now. At the same time, the voters suggested to consider, help and create conditions for the children of Cambodian overseas Vietnamese living in Vinh Tri commune to study, popularize Vietnamese, and raise their educational level. Tan An voters said that people regularly spread leaflets to loan money in the alleyways of residential areas in the province; propose the province to take measures to strictly handle this issue.

According to the Provincial People's Council, the opinions and recommendations of the voters are transferred to the Provincial People's Committee, functional departments to receive, explain and send reports to delegates of the provincial People's Council latest on December 10, 2020.
