According to Director of the Department of NRE - Vo Minh Thanh, the Department's leaders are always interested in directing affiliated units to be aware of the purposes, meanings, roles, tasks and importance of administrative reform. This is the top task to effectively perform the assigned functions and tasks, serving well the consulting work of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Ministry of NRE in the field of NRE.
Currently, all administrative procedures in the field of NRE under the jurisdiction of the Department of NRE are received and returned results at the Provincial Public Administration Service Center. In the process of handling administrative procedures related to the field of NRE, the Department implements and coordinates well with relevant agencies. The Department sends officials working at the Receiving and Returning Unit of the Provincial Public Administration Service Center is responsible for guiding, checking and receiving administrative procedures dossiers under the handling competence of the Department of NRE.

Director of the Department of NRE - Vo Minh Thanh informed that the administrative procedures reform in the field of NRE still has certain shortcomings and limitations besides the achieved results. In the coming time, the Department will regularly review and update administrative procedures in the field of NRE under its jurisdiction; continue to implement and inspect administrative procedure reform at the affiliated units; implementing the plan for inspection of official duties for civil servants, public officials and employees in the unit.
At the same time, the Department continues to evaluate the handling of administrative procedures and measure the satisfaction of organizations and individuals in 2021; examine, review and systematize legal documents, monitor and inspect the implementation of the law on NRE in 2021; regularly grasp the ideology of civil servants and public employees in order to improve the sense of responsibility in performing their duties.
The Department focuses on modernizing the administrative system, in which, all civil servants and employees of the Department of NRE apply information technology, the intranet (LAN), and use e-mail to exchange work. The list of online public services at levels 3 and 4 receives online applications on the Long An Public Service Portal under the handling competence of the Department of NRE with 55 administrative procedures. In which, level 3 includes 23 administrative procedures in the fields of land; geology and minerals. Level 4 includes 32 administrative procedures in the fields of land, environment, water resources, meteorology - hydrology, cartography and geographical information.
