Captain Nguyen Nam Hong Son, Head of Xa Mat International Border Gate Customs, stated that the conference aimed to disseminate new legal documents related to import-export, immigration, and transit activities. It also served as a forum to hear and record feedback from the business community regarding customs policies and administrative procedures, allowing authorities to respond directly or coordinate with relevant agencies to resolve issues promptly and legally.

To date, 18 enterprises engaged in import-export activities in the area have signed Customs–Enterprise cooperation agreements, including 12 with Xa Mat Customs and 6 with Ka Tum Customs.
At the conference, the Customs authority informed businesses about policies and laws on tax and customs; the modernization reform program; solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses; introduced the Customs apparatus after the merger, the implementation of customs procedures on the electronic customs clearance system version 6 (Ecus6)...
Businesses also raised concerns about challenges encountered during customs procedures, particularly those related to new policies following the recent administrative merger.

In his directive remarks, Deputy Head of Region XVII Customs Branch Phan Van Vu emphasized that in Q3 2025, customs agencies will continue promoting communication efforts and disseminating new regulatory documents tailored to the business environment and specific characteristics of each management area. He also stressed the need for close coordination with local functional units to facilitate lawful and efficient goods clearance for enterprises.
Customs units were instructed to regularly update and publicly post new regulations on procedures and commodity policies at clearance locations to ensure businesses are well-informed and compliant. They are also required to continue disseminating information to import-export enterprises on relevant policies, required preparations, and the implementation of IT systems in line with the Customs sector’s digital transformation roadmap.
