The Tan An Ring Road stretches approximately 23 kilometers, with a 33-meter-wide carriageway designed for 4-6 lanes. The project includes the construction of 5 new bridges along with a synchronized lighting and drainage system. It starts at My Phu intersection (formerly in Thu Thua District) and ends at the junction of National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 833. With a total investment of over VND 3.1 trillion—of which more than VND 1.66 trillion was allocated for construction and over VND 1.44 trillion for land clearance—the project was completed ahead of schedule after just over 3 years of implementation. Put into operation at the end of 2023, it has become a modern traffic corridor encircling the 3 wards of Long An, Tan An, and Khanh Hau.

Ms. Tran Thi Bich Huyen, Party Cell Secretary of Nhon Hau Quarter (Khanh Hau Ward), shared: “With the Ring Road in place, the face of Khanh Hau Ward has changed significantly, helping the locality meet urban civility standards. Travel and goods transportation have become much more convenient, while congestion on major routes has been notably reduced. Residents hope that in the coming time, the government will continue to invest in sidewalks and public facilities so that people’s living conditions can keep improving.”

Two years after opening to traffic, the road has had a positive impact on the province’s socio-economic development. Economically, the Tan An Ring Road has established a seamless transport corridor, meeting society’s demand for suburban development and helping balance the urbanization process between urban and rural areas.

The road also helps unlock potential advantages, mobilizing resources from both the State and various economic sectors to complete infrastructure, while effectively utilizing public land funds along both sides. This has played an important role in balancing and ensuring the efficiency of the investment process.

Mr. Vo Hong Thao, Chairman of Long An Ward People’s Committee, affirmed that land clearance and resettlement compensation were considered decisive factors. Throughout the project’s implementation, the former Tan An City authorities worked closely with the investor, regularly inspecting the site, addressing obstacles, and urging progress. Most importantly, thanks to the strong leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee, together with the consensus and support of residents, the project was completed on schedule, creating a new urban landscape for Tay Ninh Province today.

A new image, a new stature

After nearly 2 years in operation, the project has become a highlight of urban renewal, underscoring the pivotal role of transport infrastructure in driving socio-economic development and improving people’s livelihoods. More importantly, it stands as a symbol of unity between the Party, the government, and the people, and as clear evidence of the province’s sound policy of prioritizing transport infrastructure as a way to “pave the road for development.”

The Tan An Ring Road has also helped the provincial authorities effectively address issues of security, order, and traffic safety; ease the burden on National Highway 1 by diverting transport flows to suburban areas; and establish an urban corridor linking different sub-zones, thereby boosting socio-economic growth across the province and beyond.

In the context of the province entering a new stage of development following the administrative merger, the Tan An Ring Road carries profound political significance. It is a vivid testament to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, reaffirming the determination to build Tay Ninh into a dynamic, modern, and distinctive growth center of the Southeastern region./.
