Tay Ninh accelerates task implementation in the final months of 2025

On August 18, the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province convened its regular July meeting to review outcomes and discuss key directions and tasks for August 2025. The meeting was chaired by Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Vice Chairmen and representatives of provincial departments and sectors participated.

The province’s socio-economic performance in the first seven months of 2025 was vigorously directed and achieved positive results across most sectors.

Agricultural production continued receiving close attention and direction in line with set plans; the epidemic remained stable with no major outbreaks. High-quality rice accounted for a substantial share, making up 77% of total output, while dragon fruit and lime production posted year-on-year increases. Aquaculture also proved effective, with output up 14.4%.

Business production activities posted strong year-on-year growth, accompanied by increasingly innovative investment promotion efforts. The province implemented several effective promotion programmes, yielding positive results in attracting domestic and foreign investment.

Trade and services continued to grow vibrantly, with total retail sales of consumer goods and services up 17.96% year-on-year. By July 31, 2025, state budget revenue exceeded VND 32 trillion, equivalent to 86.9% of the estimate assigned by the central government and 85.8% of the target set by the provincial People’s Council.

The cultural and social sector received due attention, with festivals and artistic performances held successfully in a lively, joyful, and safe manner, creating a cheerful atmosphere for residents. Security, political stability, social order, and safety were largely maintained.

However, the province’s socio-economic situation still faces certain shortcomings and limitations. Task assignment and administrative handling remain somewhat confused due to the organisational model; coordination between provincial and commune/ward levels is not fully synchronised. Bottlenecks persist in administrative procedures and budget allocation; staffing challenges occur in some localities with heavy workloads and personnel changes after the restructuring; facilities in certain areas remain incomplete. Public investment disbursement has yet to meet the set targets; some enterprises continue to face challenges in market access; the consumption of agricultural products remains difficult; and sporadic disease still occurs.

At the meeting, representatives of several provincial departments and sectors shared their views and proposed solutions to help address difficulties, contributing to the effective implementation of tasks in the remaining months of 2025.

Delivering his directive remarks, Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, stressed that the restructuring of the administrative apparatus and the transition to a two-tier local government model an inevitable steps, aligned with reform requirements, cost efficiency, and improved public service delivery. The current obstacles, he noted, are objective realities that require initiative, responsibility, and close coordination from all levels and sectors.

He urged provincial departments and agencies to act promptly in coordination, promptly identify difficulties, act in unison, and resolutely address existing “bottlenecks” so that the remaining months of 2025 become a breakthrough period, contributing to Tay Ninh’s comprehensive fulfillment of its set targets.

Accordingly, emphasis will be placed on strict implementation of the Provincial People’s Council’s directions and tasks for 2025; ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the two-tier local government system without disruption or delays that could affect public service delivery, administrative procedures or online services for residents and businesses; and organising training for local authorities to grasp and carry out assigned duties. The province will also synchronise digital infrastructure across the territory; strive to achieve an economic growth rate of 10–11% in 2025; accelerate the progress and disbursement of public investment capital to fully complete the annual plan, with a disbursement rate of over 75% by the end of the third quarter; focus on effective planning work; recalculating appropriate norms./.
