Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut acknowledged the efforts of 6 localities in Dong Thap Muoi region in socio-economic development in the first 9 months of 2023.

He suggested that localities need to review low-achieving resolution targets to develop plans and solutions to achieve the highest outcome. For some localities with low budget revenues, it is necessary to reduce spending, ensuring that public debt does not occur.

Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with localities to continue building and developing high-quality rice areas and applying high technology to production. In particular, the Agriculture sector and localities need to continue to promote the registration of growing area codes for key crops to build brands and create stable output.

For the disbursement of public investment and site clearance, localities need to have specific plans to disburse all capital sources associated with promoting site clearance and speeding up the implementation of projects. At the same time, localities, especially those with border lines, need to further strengthen anti-smuggling work and ensure national defense and security.

Regarding the recommendations of 6 localities, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut requested that localities proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve.
