Eighty percent workers return to work after Tet in Long An province

After the Tet holiday, about 80 percent of workers have returned to work in production establishments and businesses in the Mekong Delta province of Long An, reported the provincial department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Some businesses who want to broaden production and newly established firms have faced labor shortage.

Deputy director of the department Hoa Thanh Nien said that recruitment demand in garment and textile and footwear companies has highly increased. Businesses are predicted to intensify attracting workers especially skilled ones in the first quarter this year.
