Focusing on overcoming limitations of provincial People's Council delegate groups

In the first 10 months of 2020, the provincial People's Council delegation groups met with 6,382 voters at 101 places and recorded 731 responses; actively participated in preparing content; performed well the tasks at the meetings of the People's Council; actively monitored and recommended some shortcomings in their candidate areas; participated in social activities and contributed funds to support Covid-19 epidemic prevention and drought, saltwater intrusion, etc.

However, according to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the meeting with voters and recording, answering and synthesizing voters' petitions in some groups of delegates have been still limited and not extensive. Monitoring activities in some groups of delegates have not been effectively implemented. Some delegates have rarely discussed and debated at the group meeting at the candidate place and the conference hall. Through many meetings and discussions, there have been some groups that do not have comments.

From now to the end of 2020, in addition to the 24th session (the year-end meeting), the Provincial People's Council will hold the 23rd session (thematic session) in November 2020 to consider and decide the key leaders of the Provincial People's Council and the People's Committee associated with personnel right after the XIth Provincial Party Congress; to consider and decide on some urgent socio-economic issues that need to be issued immediately to promptly implement.

For the thematic meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the leaders of the delegates and delegates to consider and decide according to regulations, to vote effectively to ensure the consolidation of key leaders of the People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee after the success of the XIth Provincial Party Congress.

In order to prepare well for the meeting at the end of 2020, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council asked the delegates to meet voters well before the meeting; to improve the quality of classification and synthesis of voters' recommendations; to organize seriously, effectively and arrange enough time for the meeting with the authorities of the candidate places.
