Long An and Binh Duong province cooperate in investment development

The delegates visit Long An province international port

Former State President Truong Tan Sang, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, secretary of Long An province Party Committee Pham Van Ranh, secretary of Binh Duong Province Party Committee Tran Van Nam and leaders of the departments, agencies attended the conference.

On this occasion, the delegates visited Long An province international port located at Tan Tap commune, Can Giuoc District. General Director of Long An Industry Park Corp Ho Minh Tuan introduced the delegates information about Long An international port which covers an area of 1,935 ha and has four projects including industrial area, industrial services, urban resident areas and port.

Of these, the port covers an area of 147 ha including 7 wharves which are capable of receiving ships weighing up to 30,000 to 70,000 DWT and 5 domestic waterway ports.

At the conference

The port has total investment capital of VND 9trillion.

So far, Long An international port No.1 has been completed and put into service; the No.2 is being under construction and expected to be done in the third quarter of 2018.

At the conference, Long An and Binh Duong provinces’ leaders agreed to strengthen the cooperation. The two sides will be able to help each other in calling for investors and develop the fields of infrastructure, industrial and urban services.

The two sides’ leaders affirmed that Becamex IDC and Long An Industrial Park Corp need to have breakthrough plans aiming to tackle difficulties and speed up the existing projects. The provinces’ leaders should have supports to local enterprises in implementing the investment projects.
