According to Deputy Director of MARD - Dinh Thi Phuong Khanh, the disease situation is complicated with the fast spreading speed. The number of livestock households that have infected pigs is increasing.

Some localities have not timely updated the data of infected pigs. Therefore, authorities have difficulty in zoning epidemic outbreaks.

In addition, some livestock households throw dead pigs carcasses into canals. Besides, people also reported that traders buying sick pigs but not yet dead to sell in other localities.

In order to control the ASF effectively, in the coming time, the DARD asks local authorities and functional agencies to destroy infected pigs in accordance with regulations. In particular, it is necessary to select methods of destruction suitable for the local weather and actual conditions.

Functional agencies and local authorities inspect and supervise the burial of dead pigs so as to prevent environmental pollution and spread of disease sources./.
