Deputy Director of Ben Luc Agricultural Services Cooperative (Luong Hoa commune, Ben Luc district) - Phung Van Hoi said: “The cooperative is buying seedless lemon at 9,000 - 10,000 VND per kilo. The price of such lemons is quite high compared to the price of lemons in the last few years at the same time”.

Currently, Ben Luc Agricultural Services Cooperative collects about 15 tons of lemon a day. 60 percent of lemon is exported to China and the Middle East countries. Mr. Hoi added: "Lemon is priced due to the declining output due to drought and salinity. In this case, the output of lemon has decreased by 30-40 percent compared to previous years".

Mr. Luu Khanh Cuong - farmer growing seedless lemon in Luong Hoa commune, Ben Luc district further informed, after drought and fierce salinity, he lost 1.5 hectares of lemon with 600 trees. Mr. Cuong has replanted these lemon trees.
