Long An orients to develop into high-tech economic zone

In particular, the seminar was attended by many important partners of Long An who are domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises; and neighboring provinces.

Speaking at the seminar, Standing Deputy Prime Minister - Truong Hoa Binh said that Long An has enough opportunities and advantages for developing a high-tech economic region, taking science - technology as the foundation to complete the objectives of the Provincial Party Committee in the term 2020 - 2025.

To achieve the goal, Long An needs to continue consulting with experts, scientists, businesses and people to set out orientations for developing the province's smart hi-tech economic zone.

The Standing Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Long An should focus on harmonious development between urban and rural areas. For industrial development, the province needs to identify key advantaged industries to focus on developing, focus on developing high-tech industries, supporting industries and logistics services.

For agriculture, it is necessary to develop in the direction of concentration and high technology application. In particular, Long An must continue to reform institutions, successfully build e-government or digital government, focus on improving the investment environment, promptly solve difficulties and problems for investors and businesses during their operation, especially in the present period, which was affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
