Long An: 'Seminar on orienting for developing high-tech economic zones' opened

On the side of the provincial leaders, there are Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Pham Van Ranh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Thanh Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut; leadership representatives of departments, branches and localities in the province.

On the side of the domestic organizations and enterprises, there are infrastructure investment enterprises in Long An; the digital alliance includes Saigontel - Viettel - Vnpay - NGS; sponsoring banks include BIDV, MB; investment funds of Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand.

On the side of the foreign organizations and enterprises, there are Korean embassies, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam, KOTRA, some Korean investment groups and large enterprises; some US investment groups and large enterprises (Microsoft, Dell EMC, Nvidia; some German investment groups and large enterprises (such as SAP, SIEMENS) and Cotrols Information Technology Group of India.

In addition, the seminar was attended by some economic units and organizations of more than 20 provinces and cities. Especially the presence of leaders of Saigontel, the unit connecting and supporting Long An province, held the seminar.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc said that Long An has great potentials and advantages in attracting investment, but the investment attraction still has many things not satisfied. Today's seminar will be the premise to form a developed industrial ecosystem with advanced technology, reduce the risk of environmental pollution and bring high added value to the economy. When the economy develops well, there will be conditions for investment in culture - society, national defense and security, especially improving people's lives.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that, through the seminar, the province will strongly orient the formation of a high-tech economic zone in the province associated with the construction of a smart city following Korean models, which is an attractive place, develop high-tech projects to maximize the efficiency of resources, innovate growth models, give priority to strategic investors, and attract investment in key industries and high technology. 

The seminar took a lot of time for the speakers who are representatives of Long An province, the Korean Embassy, VCCI, Microsoft, and so on to share about Long An's potentials and strengths in attracting investment, the prospects for Long An to orientate and develop high-tech economic zones.

The signing ceremony of sponsoring service "digital transformation" between Long An province - Saigontel - Roland Berger will take place at the seminar; signing investment promotion cooperation agreement for Long An and SMBL provinces; signing cooperation and support "Regulations on coordination between departments and branches of the province to “approve the procedures of investment policy" according to the regulations of the province of Long An and JSC Investment DVL VENTURES; signing the cooperation agreement and support for Long An province by leading technology, telecommunications and finance groups in Vietnam and the world./.
