Long An tightens security at port border gate

Chairman of People’s Committee in Long An province Tran Van Can chaired the meeting on April 10 to implement the Government's Decree No.77/2017 on social security at the provincial port border gate.

Long An province has a system of Vam Co river stretching from the inlant to the East Sea, Long An international port to many inland ports in Ben Luc, Can Duoc, Can Giuoc districts which receive a huge vessels every day. 

Therefore, local authorities have planned to tighten the management of security and order at port border gate to create favorable condition for export and import activities.

At the meeting

As per plan, chairman Can asked the relevant agencies and local authorities to implement strictly Decree No.77 of the Government. Accordingly, the agencies have to implement the Plan No.170 of the provincial People's Committee on management of security and order at port border gate as well as review the cooperation regulations dealing with the new situation.

Decree No.77/2017 of the Government issued on July 3, 2017 is an important legal document aiming at solving the problems in the management of security and order at port border gate effectively. This is in line with the overall situation of seaports in the area and the world.

The decree provides the legal foundation for agencies to manage security and order at port border gate, contributing in simplifying and clarifying administrative procedures as well as attracting transport enterprises, shipping lines and international tourists to the country's seaports ./.
