Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Mai Van Nhieu is the leader of the supervision team about commercial fraud, counterfeiting in the Agricultural sector

According to the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Nguyen Thanh Truyen, commercial fraud and counterfeiting in the Agricultural sector are mainly the production and trading of fertilizers, pesticides and animal feed that are not on the list of permitted circulation or use in Vietnam. The quality is not consistent with the announcement; the label is not true about the product. In addition, there is the use of sedatives and water pumped into cattle before slaughter.

"From 2018 to the end of August 2020, the Agriculture sector fined 440 administrative violations, collected and paid nearly 3.4 billion VND to the budget. Currently, there is only 1 case with a fine of 100 million VND, not yet paid the fine", added Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truyen.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, combating trade fraud and counterfeiting in the Agricultural sector still faces difficulties and problems. Currently, the implementation of the provisions of Article 72 of the Law on the handling of administrative violations has not been implemented.

IR 4625 sticky rice has been commonly produced in the province. However, because this type of sticky rice is not on the list of permitted circulation, it is difficult to collect samples and check quality. The management and control of the rice seed business without the author's commercial permission is difficult because most of the seed rice is packaged without a clear label. Therefore, when checking, the owners lied that rice is for poultry.

The inspection and control of slaughtering and trading of animal products are mainly at night. The trading area of agricultural materials and agricultural, forestry and aquatic products is large but the functional force is few, and so on.
