Over the past time, border security has been maintained; the coordination between the forces of the two sides is quite good. The border guard forces on both sides of the border cooperate in bilateral patrols to control and protect the border line and border landmarks; propagate and mobilize people to abide by the State's policies and laws, border regulations, and participate in crime prevention, protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Long An province and the two provinces Svay Rieng, Prey Veng.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tien - Head of Binh Hiep International Border Gate Border Guard Station, the station regularly coordinates border guards of neighboring countries and forces in the area to patrol and control border lines and landmarks, contributing to raising people's awareness and responsibilities in well observing border regulations, participating in coordinating border guards to maintain political security, social order and safety, firmly defending territorial sovereignty and border security.
