According to the Director of Can Giuoc General Hospital - Dr. Tran Van Tam: “To prevent and treat nCoV, a Steering Committee and 2 rapid response teams are established; 2 clinics are arranged in the Emergency Department and 1 isolation area with 8 rooms, about 30 beds. In special cases, the hospital will use the Infection Department as an isolation area or a field hospital. Equipment, materials, chemicals of the hospital are available but very limited. The unit arranges a mobile X-ray machine and arranges staff to take blood for testing at the clinic to perform on-site examination. In particular, the hospital has sprayed bactericidal chemicals at clinics and emergency departments.”
According to the report, up to now, Can Giuoc district has not detected any cases of infection. However, it was determined that this was a dangerous epidemic, so the district actively propagated on the district and commune radio system, mobile information, panels, leaflets and social networks for the people to actively capture and prevent effectively. The district also informed students not to go to schools and organized disinfection spray in 59 schools and 79 nursery groups. The district checked medicine trading establishments and fined 2 cases of violation. It detected and fined one person giving information on an acute respiratory infection caused by a new strain of nCoV incorrectly. It advocates for Chinese health checks at enterprises.
Through this, the district People's Committee also proposed the provincial People's Committee to support costumes and supplies for the district hospital and healthcare center; direct the concerned departments and branches to coordinate with the district in the prevention and control of epidemics in industrial parks because they are not under the district's jurisdiction.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa highly appreciated the preparation and prevention of epidemic in Can Giuoc district. He also suggested the district to continue propagating on the media to let people know about the harms and disease prevention; temporarily stop organizing activities of Ba Mieu Temple Festival; using the district reserve fund to serve the epidemic prevention and control; doing well the work of streamlining health examination; providing masks for medical workers and officials in direct contact with people; organizing spraying disinfectants at schools before students return to school./.
