Covid-19 prevention needs more determination

Since the outbreak of the disease, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Disease Prevention and Control drastically implemented measures to prevent and control diseases such as promoting communication; disinfecting surfaces; spraying disinfectant all schools; inspecting and supervising local support for the implementation of prevention and fighting measures; allowing students staying at home. The province also instructed not to organize festivals after Tet holiday, not to organize military camps, not to gather crowds when it is not necessary, and so on

Long An has currently organized 4 isolated facilities. By 15:00 on March 23, the whole province had 1,990 quarantine cases, including 1,563 local quarantine people (at home, residence, companies), 427 concentrated isolated people (including cases of isolation at medical establishments).

Up to the afternoon of March 24, Long An had not recorded cases of Covid-19, but the health facilities were ready for personnel, facilities, equipment, supplies, personal protective clothes and taking testing samples.

At the conference, the delegates reported some difficulties and solutions on purchasing medical supplies, protective clothes in the isolated area, providing meals for the isolated people and the staff participating in epidemic prevention, the organization for taking testing samples, and so on.

Smuggling prevention and fighting were also focused on implementing, therefore the situation on the borderline was stable.

Speaking at the conference direction, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can said: “The situation of Covid-19 disease continues to be complicated and unpredictable, especially in the next 15 days. Therefore, the whole political system must take part in the spirit of high determination to join the provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and the provincial Steering Committee in prevention and control. The media should focus on propaganda to raise people's awareness in disease prevention and control; promote visual propaganda through panels, posters, loudspeaker systems, motor vehicles; strengthen communication in meetings of groups and associations”.

Relevant departments and branches are ready for disease prevention and fighting plans. In particular, the Provincial Military Headquarters has a plan ready to switch from military to civilian to ensure good organization of concentrated isolation.

The local secretariat of the Party has enhanced the leading role in this arduous "war". The Chairman of the district People's Committee instructs the commune to issue an administrative sanctioning decision on smuggling when detecting a case of smuggling and there is a decision to immediately isolate smugglers at the household.

The Health Sector allocates testing samples to receive the earliest results; guides people how to measure home isolation; prepares adequate protective equipment to ensure the health of all health workers and service forces for epidemic prevention and control. The Fatherland Front and mass organizations propagandize to help each people aware of the meaning and importance of isolation.

Leaders of departments, branches and presidents of People's Committees of localities having enterprises located in the province take measures to raise the awareness of labor managers and workers in maintaining security and order, and fighting the disease. Market management forces strictly control booths, fake goods and poor quality goods to and fro border areas./.
