Enterprises make efforts to restore production and trade

Implementing dual goals 

The epidemic situation is under control, provincial leaders organize delegations to meet, have dialogues and accompany enterprises to solve problems and difficulties. In addition, the province also issued many documents guiding and supporting enterprises to restore production and trade.

On October 4, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 3222/KH-UBND on the plan to restore production and trade of enterprises in the area in order to support enterprises to gradually restore production and trade, contributing to implementing "dual goals" both to prevent and control the epidemic and to develop the economy.

The province allows all enterprises in the area to resume operations on the view of gradually shifting from the State focusing on Covid-19 prevention and control to enterprises and people proactively preventing and controlling the epidemic (on-site medical care); cautiously loosening the distance to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic from breaking out.

Enterprises in the province operate again

The province directs and requires step-by-step restoration of production and trade to ensure safety in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; The task of preventing and controlling the Covid-19 epidemic is a regular task. Employees and enterprises actively prevent and control the epidemic for themselves and for enterprises according to the guidance of local authorities and health agencies. Enterprises take the initiative in formulating plans for restoring production and trade, ensuring epidemic prevention and control, and submitting them to competent authorities as the basis for management.

The specific provisions in this plan are well received by enterprises. As an FDI enterprise, Chutex Internatinal Company Limited (Duc Hoa district) specializes in manufacturing and processing garments for export with 100 percent of Singaporean capital. Normally, the company has more than 2,000 employees.

During the stressful epidemic period, the company implemented the "3-on-site" measure, with only more than 600 workers remaining. At that time, the company only operated in moderation, focused on completing urgent orders signed with partners. Currently, according to the new plan, the company actively builds a plan in parallel with dual goals to gradually restore production and proactively prevent and control the epidemic. Representative of Chutex Internatinal Co., Ltd - Erng Sow Ngoh emphasized that the new regulations issued by the province are consistent with the current reality when the epidemic situation is under control.

This result is very encouraging, but not so that it is subjective and negligent in epidemic prevention and control. In restoring production, the company transfer from the "3-on-site" measures to being cautious and safely adapting to the epidemic. Initially, the company restored production from 50 percent of capacity, equivalent to about 1,100 employees. In case of urgent orders, needing more workers, the company will arrange 100-200 additional people. The company focuses on all solutions to maintain the investment market in Vietnam after the epidemic.

Up to now, the company has 1,749 employees who have been vaccinated (of which, 519 people were injected the second shot). With such vaccination, the company ensures labor to serve production. Employees when coming to work strictly comply with the "5K" message and measures to prevent and control the epidemic according to regulations.

In addition, the company signs a contract with a medical unit to take the initiative in health care at the company (on-site medical care), arrange a place to isolate F0 and F1 for prevention when there are cases of infection in the company and there is an emergency department. The medical staff is in charge of epidemic control at the company. The company actively cooperates with localities and functional sectors in the prevention and control of epidemics, preventing the spread of disease (if any). Currently, the company basically restored production and business, arranged about 95 percent of employees. The company recommends that provinces and localities pay attention and create conditions for employees to be injected enough shots of vaccine against Covid-19.

The plan are active

Also a FDI enterprise with Taiwanese capital, after a temporary shutdown to prevent and control the epidemic, Nguyen Khoi Toan Loc Co., Ltd (Ben Luc district) proactively planned to restore production and trade during the period of safe adaptation to the epidemic. In normal times, the company has 866 workers, currently 816 people are injected vaccine with the 1st shot (278 people were injected the 2nd shot), mainly in Ben Luc district.

Assessing the risks of labor fluctuations after the epidemic is under control, the company coordinates with the locality to take good care of the welfare work, share difficulties with workers during the break to fight the epidemic, propagate, mobilize and retain employees. As a result, the labor plan when remanufacturing is not affected much.

Currently, the company has started production again. Company representative - SuHihan said: "The company initially only organizes about 50 percent of employees to operate again. Now, the company operates normally as before (based on the situation of the local direction). The company commits employees to comply with regulations, organize "on-site medical care" according to the guidance of functional agencies and localities.

In terms of labor, there is no change, but we will create more conditions and support for workers so that they feel secure to work. For the market, the company has contacted and connected with previous customers to find a common voice in production and exchange. We recommend that the province needs to support to inject enough vaccine (2nd shot) so that workers can rest assured in production."

Enterprises actively prevent and control the epidemic when reproducing and doing trade

Similarly, a representative of Semitec Electronic Vietnam Co., Ltd (Can Giuoc district) was excited about the province's plan to restore production and trade. These regulations help to remove difficulties and obstacles of the company in the current context. The company actively plans to welcome employees back to work, implements "on-site medical care" and has a specific plan to restore production and trade in the remaining months of 2021.

The Company's Deputy Production Director - Quach Dang Trung informed: "The Covid-19 epidemic has a great impact, the company organizes to implement "3-on-site" measure to maintain operations. However, the cost is quite high, so the economic problem is not effective. With the new regulations, the company welcomes employees back to work, proactively strictly implements regulations on epidemic prevention and control.

The company is expected to face many difficulties when reproducing, but it still tries to connect with partners, find markets, and take advantage of contracts to soon stabilize production. Currently, many workers of the company suspending labor contracts have applied for support under the Government's Resolution 68. The company recommends the province to consider and settle promptly and in accordance with regulations the workers who have applied but have not yet been supported. At the same time, the province creates favorable conditions for workers to be injected enough shots of vaccine against Covid-19 so that workers can return to work with peace of mind.

When the epidemic is under control, enterprises start to restore production and trade, participating in economic recovery. Accompanying businesses, the province always creates the most favorable conditions for enterprises to soon operate stably./.
