Injecting vaccine for workers to ensure the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and create momentum for enterprises to restore production

Vaccination is a safe "shield" for the people in general and workers in particular. Thanks to enhanced propaganda from the province, locality and to each enterprise, the workers comply, respond and are not picky, ready to inject as soon as it is their turn. Currently, employees working at enterprises that have performed "3-on-site" activities have previously been vaccinated with 2 shots of Covid-19 vaccine. After restoring production, the province made every effort so that all workers could be quickly injected the second shot to ensure their health before the epidemic.

Although we have injected 2 shots, we still strictly comply with regulations on epidemic prevention and control to protect the health of ourselves, our families and the community."

Director of 2030 Food Company Limited (Tan An City) - Luong Long Hiep said that the company had 80 employees, all of whom have injected the first shot, the workers injected the second shot also reached 75 percent. At the company, many employees worked in the delivery department; did disinfection and cleaned services in places with high risk of infection, so when they were vaccinated, they would better protect their health against the epidemic risk. Through the mass media, it is known that the vaccination rate of the province is continuously increasing day by day, we are more confident and secure because we can live and work in a safe environment”.

Safer when restoring production

Among 8 provinces and cities with vaccination rates over 90 percent of the country, Ho Chi Minh City and Long An are the two localities with the highest coverage of the second shot. Long An is also the leading locality in the Mekong River Delta region in the rate of vaccination against Covid-19. These are the efforts of the province in the anti-epidemic work over the past time when from the locality in the "epidemic center", the province carried out 3 "frontal attacks" including community screening, social distancing and vaccination strategy; in which vaccines are the most fundamental and sustainable strategy. Currently, the province has entered a "new normal" state, production and trade have been restored.

Human Resources Director of Thuan Phuong Sewing and Embroidery Co., Ltd - Pham Tuan Hoai Mac said: “The company has gradually restored production from September 21, 2021. In the past time, facing the epidemic situation, the company has made efforts to mobilize employees to stay and work to ensure their income and be vaccinated against Covid-19. In addition, the company also spends about 6 billion VND to support the workers’ life. Therefore, out of a total of 1,800 workers, 1,600 people have returned to work. By mid-October 2021, all employees at the company have been injected the 1st shot, about 60 percent of the workers were injected the 2nd shot and are expected to complete the 2nd shot in October. Currently with an abundant number of orders, the company has a high demand to recruit 1,500 other workers. After being vaccinated, the workers and experts can travel conveniently and the company's production recovery is much more convenient. We thank the leaders of provinces, localities and departments and branches for creating conditions for the company to operate stably again."

Deputy Director of Agrina Industry Co., Ltd (My Yen commune, Ben Luc district) - Nguyen Viet Dung shared that the company has been approved for the reproduction plan, in which, we always adhere to 2 criteria: Good epidemic prevention for employees to work in a safe environment and restore orders, create stable jobs for employees. The company has nearly 400 employees, so far, over 99 percent of employees have been injected the 2nd shot. All employees who have returned to work have been vaccinated with at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine. To ensure safety in the company, we divide the working area for workers who have injected 1 shot and 2 shots of vaccine. In addition to making a list of employees who have been injected the first shot to send to the authorities, the company also regularly informs, urges and creates conditions for employees to register for the second shot in the community when there is a notice from the Commune People's Committee.

In many dialogues with enterprises before restoring production, provincial leaders often emphasized that they would reserve vaccines for the workforce. This is also the commitment of the province for enterprises to trust, operate and feel secure to invest in Long An. In charge of Environmental Safety and Health of Workers (HSE) Dong Viet Shoes Co., Ltd (Expanded Thuan Dao Industrial Park) - Nguyen Hoang Phuong said that the company currently has nearly 600 employees working, including about 70 percent were injected the 2nd shot. Last time, the workers were also very conscious, not picky, ready to inject as soon as it was their turn to return to work soon. The company encourages employees to inject early in the community when it's their turn; At the same time, the company also urgently compiles a list and sends it to the provincial Economic Zone Authority so as not to miss the unvaccinated workers. We hope that workers will be soon injected the 2nd shot of the vaccine so that the company can effectively prevent the epidemic and rest assured to restore production.

After the pandemic, Long An strives to realize the "dual goals" of both epidemic prevention and control and economic development, in which, vaccines are the safe and effective "shields" for workers when they return to work. The province is making efforts to speed up the progress of the 2nd shot for workers to create favorable conditions for enterprises to quickly recover their economy.
