Leaders of the provincial People's Committee reported the former President the economic development situation of Long An province recently. Accordingly, the growth rate in the first months of the year continued to remain high, reaching 9.89 percent; It is estimated that the provincial economic growth will exceed the set plan by 9-9.5 percent by the end of 2020.

The provincial economic structure has been shifted in the right direction of industrialization and modernization, increasing the proportion of industry and construction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery. People's lives have been improved, GRDP per capita in 2018 reached 68.62 million VND, higher than the national average.

Representatives of departments and sectors also presented some recommendations on the fields of agriculture, industry, natural resources and environment, the need for traffic connection, etc. with former President - Truong Tan Sang to consider and support the locality.
