Long An: Focus on implementing socio-economic development tasks from beginning of the year

The province concretizes targets into 10 main orientations and tasks. In which, the province strives to flexibly and effectively implement the goal of both preventing, controlling the Covid-19 epidemic and continuing to recover and promotie socio-economic development; focus on improving the efficiency of formulation, management and implementation of master plans according to the Law on Planning; drastically implement solutions to restructure the economy in association with innovating the growth model, accelerating digital transformation, and improving the productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the province's economy; to rapidly develop a synchronous and modern infrastructure system; promote regional linkages; focus on improving the investment and business environment; strive to improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) by 2023 back to the top group in the country; develop culture and society, maintain social justice; improving people's living standards, ensuring the harmonious connection of economic development with society;etc. At the conference, representatives of leaders of a number of localities, departments, branches and localities proposed some ideas as well as information on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut suggested that departments, branches and localities need to focus on implementing and performing socio-economic development tasks right from the beginning of the year.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Nguyen Van Ut acknowledged and absorbed all the instructions of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. He emphasized that departments, branches and localities need to start implementing assigned tasks and targets from the first days and first months of the new year 2023, in which, focus on a number of key tasks, based on the targets set by Government's Resolution, Provincial Party Committee's Resolution. The Provincial People's Committee, the departments, branches and localities must complete, report on the solution tasks, and organize the implementation roadmap according to their functions, tasks and send to the office of Provincial People's Committee for synthesis before January 15, 2023.

On that basis, the departments, branches and localities (districts, towns and cities) must make great determination right from the beginning of the year in carrying out their tasks, focusing on growth, especially region I must increase by 2.5% or more; consolidating the Steering Committee to urge budget collection at the provincial, district, town and city levels and develop a plan to complete it before January 15, 2023 in order to strive and achieve the state budget collection plan.
