Long An keeps alert for poultry diseases

Before and during the Tet holidays (the Lunar New Year), the southern province of Long An tightened control on poultry sale in markets by increasing information of diseases on cattle and waterfowl.

Additionally, all poultry in markets had been vaccinated carefully.

Moreover, local administration administered chemical spraying in all farms, therefore, diseases on animal had been under control.

However, cold weather after Tet festival is conducive for disease development and spreading; accordingly, breeders should actively work with vets to vaccinate animals to prevent diseases on poultry.

Besides, farmers are harvesting rice at this time, ducks are roaming from paddy fields to paddy fields freely without control; local governments should take heed to manage this situation to curb diseases spreading causing losses./.
