Many landlords have discounted rental fee for renters

According to the provincial Labor Union, in order to alleviate the difficulties for workers and laborers due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, many local landlords discount the fees of room, electricity and water for renters.

Specifically, up to April 3, in Long An province, 142 landlords with nearly 3,300 rooms have reduced room, electricity and water fees for workers and laborers. These inns are mainly in the districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Giuoc, etc. These localities have many industrial parks and clusters with a large number of workers.

The discount rates depend on each inn, in which, the lowest discount is about 100.000 VND per month, the highest is about 1 million VND per month.

 According to the Deputy Chairman of the provincial Labor Union - Le Thi Thu Cuc, the discount for fees of rooms, electricity and water is a meaningful action to help workers reduce the burden due to the impact of Covid- 19 epidemic.

In addition to supporting workers and laborers in difficult circumstances, Labor Union at all levels will coordinate with local authorities to mobilize landlords to reduce rental fee for workers, especially those who lose their jobs and reduced income, etc./.
