At the meeting, the supervisory delegation reviewed on the results of the implementation of policies in attracting investment in industrial zones and clusters in the key economic regions of the province during the period 2016 - 2021. The report clearly outlines the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations, specific causes and recommendations on mechanisms and policies related to the promotion and calling enterprises to invest in industrial zones and clusters.
Up to now, the province has 37 industrial parks with a total area of more than 12,200 hectares, of which 35 have been added by the Prime Minister to the development planning and 2 are located in Long An Border Gate Economic Zone; 18 have been put into operation, with total area of more than 4,000 hectares, filled with more than 85%. The province also has 22 industrial clusters put into operation, receiving nearly 680 investment projects, filling more than 90%.
At the monitoring, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee proposed solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of attracting investment in industrial zones and clusters in the coming time. He also proposed the National Assembly and the Government to evaluate the legal corridor to implement the Law on Industrial Parks and Economic Zones and propose the central ministries and branches to guide the decentralization and authorization of a number of areas such as trade, labor, inspection, environment, etc to further promote the management of industrial parks and economic zones under the "one-stop shop, on-site" mechanism.

At the monitoring, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly - Nguyen Thanh Hai suggested the Provincial People's Committee continue to direct departments, agencies, branches and localities to focus on reviewing industrial zones and clusters that are slow to deploy or fail to invest in infrastructure to take handling measures for each specific case; at the same time, advise and propose central ministries and branches to have appropriate mechanisms and policies to attract secondary enterprises inside and outside the province to continue investing in projects in industrial zones and clusters, meeting the economic development needs of the province.
The results of the monitoring session will be summarized by the provincial National Assembly Delegation, and submited to the National Assembly, the Government, ministries and central branches to promptly remove obstacles and inadequacies in terms of mechanisms, policies and laws, especially regulations in the Land Law, the Investment Law and the current Decrees on management of industrial clusters./.
