The Resolution of City Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term determines the task of building Tan An City to basically meet the criteria of a class I urban area by 2025 in the direction of a friendly, civilized and modern urban area. Recently, Tan An City has made efforts and focused on solutions to speed up the implementation progress of the province's driving projects; 3 key projects and 2 breakthrough programs of the City Party Committee.

Up to now, the Hung Vuong Street - National Highway 62 intersection project has been completed. This is one of eight projects in the Breakthrough Program of the Resolution of 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 "Mobilizing all resources to build a synchronous transport infrastructure system for industrial development and urban key economic zones of the province. The 3 key projects: Ward 2 Park - phase 2; Bao Dinh River Embankment Project; anti-flood drainage system in inner city area were completed 2 years ahead of schedule. These projects contribute to perfecting the socio-economic infrastructure system, creating motivation for the city's development.

Notably, the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee has issued 2 thematic Resolutions to build and develop Tan An City. That is Resolution No. 02, dated July 14, 2011 on construction and development of Tan An City for the period 2021-2030 and Resolution No. 35, dated April 8, 2022 on construction and development of Tan An City in the period of 2021 - 2030; etc.
