Leaders of Long An province work in Chungnam Techno Park, Korea

On September 26, a delegation of Long An province led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial National Assembly delegation - Nguyen Thanh Hai worked with Board of Directors of Chungnam Techno Park (CTP), Korea and paid a courtesy visit to the Director of CTP - Mr. Kyu-Sok Suh.

Mr. Kyu-Sok Suh expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation. At the same time, he hopes to have discussions and receive support from Long An province in the process of finding a suitable location to invest a technology park in Long An.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of National Assembly delegation of Long An province - Nguyen Thanh Hai affirmed that, Long An has an important strategic position in connecting a vibrant economic and financial center like Ho Chi Minh City with Mekong Delta region, abundant young human resources; Synchronously invested infrastructure and transportation networks; a dynamic, innovative government apparatus that always accompanies businesses; a large land fund for industrial and urban development; friendly people, etc. The province is an attractive destination for Korean investors to feel secure in investing and doing business.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai also invited Mr. Kyu-Sok Suh and CTP members to come to Long An to conduct a field survey and learn about the province's investment environment.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son said: Currently, in Long An province, there are 34 industrial parks established with a total area of 9,251.6 hectares; 44 industrial clusters with a total area of 2,181 hectares. The province's goal is to establish 17 more industrial parks with an area of 3,181.4 hectares and 28 industrial clusters with an area of 1,808 hectares by 2030. Long An's industrial parks and clusters are concentrated mainly in districts adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City and have been fully invested in infrastructure, ready to welcome businesses and investors.

Long An wishes to cooperate with Chungnam Techno Park and invite Korean businesses to invest in the following fields: High technology, 4.0 industrial automation, component and equipment, electronics and software, microchips, semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence; material production, supporting industries, processing and manufacturing, production and assembly of cars and car components; smart ecological urban areas; seaport services, import-export services, business support services, logistics; ecosystems that support the development of science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship; high-quality human resource training to provide labor resources for businesses and investors.

Introducing to the delegation, the CTP representative said that Chungnam Techno Park was established in 1999, under the management of the Chungcheongnam-do government and the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and is considered Korea's leading innovation center. CTP has established a support system for technology businesses with business incubators and advanced technical support services, promoting technology projects, innovation and improving competitiveness.

The meeting created conditions to connect Long An businesses accompanying the delegation with CTP businesses in related fields, creating a premise for cooperation in the future./.
