Long An tightens measures to prevent Covid-19 epidemic

Particularly at Long An General Hospital, it was accumulated 19 cases of initial test positive for SARS-CoV-2, they are waiting for the Ministry of Health to check and issue codes. Currently, the hospital temporarily stops accepting patients within 72 hours from 9 p.m. on June 29. The hospital has taken testing samples for all medical staff, patients and patients’ takecarers present at the hospital; disinfect the entire hospital area with disinfectant spray.

About the epidemic situation in the province, especially those concentrated in crowded industrial zones and clusters, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa proposed to strictly implement the management and testing of cases of infectious diseases from the epidemic area; accelerate screening tests in the community, especially people at high risk.

With the epidemic situation at Long An General Hospital, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut requested first to stabilize the spirit and take care of the health of medical staff, patients and sick people here. The Department of Health urgently assesses and analyzes the source of infection to effectively prevent the risk of disease spread. In addition, although the hospital temporarily stops accepting patients, it must ensure to receive emergency cases, pay attention to protective equipment to prevent epidemics. In particular, it is necessary to carefully exploit the epidemiological factor for F0 who are medical staff at the hospital.

Facing the complicated and unpredictable developments of the current epidemic, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut asked localities to tighten more measures to prevent epidemics, especially in districts of Can Giuoc, Can Duoc, Ben Luc, Duc Hoa and Tan An City. At the same time, he assigned local Steering Committees to assess the level of risk, depending on the location and places to flexibly apply Directive 15 or other measures according to the actual situation but absolutely do not affect the people's lives, ensuring to implement the "dual goals" of both epidemic prevention and control and economic development./.
