Standing Deputy Party Chief Do Huu Lam praised contribution of reporters in the province’s development expecting them to continue developing available value and solidarity in the procedure of the province’s growth.
He stressed that 2018 is an important transitional year of the implementation of the resolution adopted by the twelfth Party Congress and the resolution of the province’s tenth Party Congress; accordingly, he expected organizations in the society, press organizations, researching organizations, teams of intellectuals, reporters to develop their sense of responsibility and solidarity in work and fight against wrong allegations in the society greatly contributing to include the Party’s resolution into life. Moreover, these special people well act as consultant in the culture and ideology field.
He suggested related agencies to give favors to reporters, artists, and intellectuals so that these people can develop their talents to the province’s growth.

Winning authors at the meeting On the occasion the province’s Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education granted certificates of merit to 20 outstanding works winning the second Golden Hammer and Sickle awards for categories of television, radio, print newspaper, photos. Long An newspaper won eight print prizes and three electronic newspaper. Of them, the first prize article “Quyet liet phong chong tham nhung” (Determined to fight against corruption) by reporter Le Duc - Kien Dinh enter the national press prize’s final in 2017.
