Conference on contributing ideas for overall adjustment of construction master plan of Tan An city

At the conference, the consultant presented the master planning idea of Tan An city to 2030, with a vision to 2050. Specifically, the consultant analyzes the context, characteristics and attractions of Tan An City; topography, climate, hydrology; utilities, major public focal points; vision, goals; plans and strategies on city development; etc.

Representatives of departments, branches and localities also suggested the consultant to adjust and supplement some issues such as combination, inheritance in city development; expansion of urban space; the development of modes of transport, the system of terminals and stations. In addition, the consultant should have practical ideas to attract large-scale enterprises to invest in the city, etc.

On the other hand, the consultant should have a phase division in the planning to associate it with the administration of the Party, the local government and the local socio-cultural - economic development plan. The consultant also needs to focus on the long-term urban drainage system to prevent flooding; riverside urban development; hi-tech agriculture and developing advantages of Tan An city.

The consultant presented the main strategies for the development of Tan An city

Secretary of Tan An Party Committee - Le Cong Dinh thanked the practical suggestions of leaders of departments, branches, localities and consultants for the development of the city. In which, he agreed with the plan to expand the space to match the development of the city. He also suggested that the planning should be inherited. At the same time, it is necessary to protect, exploit and develop the landscape of Vam Co Tay and Bao Dinh rivers to build a livable ecological urban along the river as well as promote the unique identity of Tan An city. In addition, the planning should clearly affirm that Tan An city has a central position, this is a smart city and leading in digital transformation of the province.

According to Chairman of Tan An City People's Committee – Nguyen Minh Hung, through these suggestions, the consultant would make appropriate adjustments. In which, the consultant should update the zoning planning, detailed planning; existing projects and works of religion and education; the development of green areas in the city and the urban drainage project.

Besides, the consultant should also pay attention to exploiting advantages from Vam Co Tay and Bao Dinh rivers; develop infrastructure along river routes and connect urban spaces; space for riverside tourism, festivals, and community activities for people;…/.
