Speaking at the conference, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized the viewpoint "Taking the people and businesses as the center and serving subjects of the government; Enterprises are the driving force and resources of development.". The province always accompanies businesses in the production and business process; The difficulties and problems of businesses are listened to, shared and resolved by localities.

This conference is for provincial leaders to meet, share, and listen to difficulties and obstacles that need to be removed and supported to solve them better and more effectively in the process of production and business activities.

Besides, the provincial leaders also listened to proposals and suggestions from businesses on good solutions and models to improve the connection and support for businesses in the coming time, to create a transparent, fair, safe and effective business investment environment, for the sustainable development of Long An province in general and the business community in particular.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc also suggested that, in a truly open and honest spirit, businesses' opinions should be brief, clear, straight to the point, avoiding duplication of opinions.

The Provincial People's Committee and representatives of leaders of provincial and local departments, branches, and localities in the spirit of true inquiry, transparency, honesty, respectfully listening, understanding,  and giving detailed, clear, and easy-to-understand explanations to FDI enterprises about the mechanisms, policies, and regulations of Vietnamese law; making efforts, becoming dynamic and flexible to quickly and effectively remove difficulties and problems of businesses after the conference.

At the conference, representatives of FDI enterprises in the area paid great attention to the following groups of issues: Investment to develop human resources to meet the requirements of enterprises; adjusting the regional minimum wage; transportation system; energy strategy to reduce carbon emissions and develop sustainably in accordance with the orientation of the Government as well as Long An province; Long An's target allocation policy on electricity production of rooftop solar power; overseas labor returning for recruiting; road infrastructure development plan; etc.

Businesses' questions are also answered and clarified by representatives of leaders of departments, agencies and branches.

Concluding at the conference, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut affirmed that, in the spirit of honesty, the opinions of businesses reflect the issues and problems; contributing to the training, use of human resources, transportation, etc. The Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the direction of the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc, and opinions from businesses.

The perspective of accompanying businesses is not just empty words but concrete actions. The province's PCI in 2023 is ranked 2nd out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, increased 8 places compared to 2022 (10th out of 63 provinces and cities).

Regarding some specific issues in the dialogue, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut suggested that departments and sectors must focus on completing these tasks; immediately expedite the removal of enterprises' issues according to their authority. For groups of issues beyond its authority, the Provincial People's Committee will synthesize, seek opinions and provide written feedback to businesses.

The province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to be the focal point of the province to receive information, suggestions and recommendations from businesses, and is responsible for monitoring, urging, and promptly synthesizing reports to the Provincial People's Committee and providing feedback to businesses so that investors can truly feel secure when investing in the province.

Provincial leaders hope that businesses and FDI investors continue to understand and accompany with the province's difficulties; coordinate more closely with localities to accelerate project implementation progress, promote the effectiveness and value of investment projects./.
