Party chief meets members of military labour unions
General Secretary Nguyen Phuc Trong hosted a meeting on May 23 for 80 exemplary members of military labour unions, who are attending the 9th congress of the military unions.

At the reception, the Party chief praised the achievements recorded by the military labour unions in recent years and expects them to bring new ideas to the congress in order to build stronger unions.
He emphasised that the military union members should always uphold the spirit of a soldier, while pledging their absolute loyalty to the motherland and people, and embracing every difficulty to fulfil their assigned tasks.
General Secretary Trong said that the military must take the lead in the efforts to rectify the Party, build a pure and strong political system, and combat corruption and wastefulness.
At the meeting, the delegates briefed the Party leader on the notable achievements that the military labour unions have attained in the past five years and the agenda of the on-going 9th congress.
They promised to build on the fine traditions of the Vietnamese army to help with the realisation of the national construction and defence tasks./.
