After 5 years implementing the Resolution of the 10th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Long An province, the operation’s content and procedure of the Youth Union have been increasingly innovated. Revolutionary action movements continued to develop, demonstrating the impactful role and creative spirit of young people. Many targets of the term have been achieved, some have been highly exceeded, and many advanced role models have appeared, contributing to building a beautiful image of Long An’s young generation in the new period.

Directing at the congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee believed that the delegates attending the Congress uphold the sense of responsibility, wisely choose outstanding comrades who have political courage, quality, prestige, enthusiasm, ability and high responsibility to be elected to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, capable of undertaking, implementing the tasks and concretizing the implementation of the Resolution of the new term congress.

He also suggested that the Youth Union system from the province to the grassroots continue to innovate the education of young people, improve the effectiveness of the movements and action programs; focus on building a strong Union in terms of politics, ideology, organization and action. With the determination to innovate and promote technology application, the province identified digital transformation as one of the most important tasks and solutions to promote rapid and sustainable growth and development. Therefore, Union officials first need to change their perception and thinking about digital transformation.

Delegates voted the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Long An province, term XI, term 2022 - 2027   

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Long An province, term XI, including 40 comrades; the delegation to attend the 12th National Congress of the Union, including 12 official delegates and 4 alternate delegates; an Inspection Committee consisting of 5 comrades and the Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union's Inspection Committee. The first meeting of the the Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union consisting of 12 comrades, in which, Mr.Tran Hai Phu was re-elected as Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, term XI; Mr. Vo Minh Quoc, Pham Van Hau and Mrs.Le Thi Hong Ket hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.

The congress also set a number of targets in the new term: By 2027, over 70 percent of young people and children will have accessibility to digital capacity improvement activities deployed and implemented by Youth Unions, Associations and Organizations at all levels; at least 70 percent  of young people use online public services, over 70 percent  of young people use electronic payment accounts; annually, 100 percent  of the district-level Youth Union effectively implements at least 2 Youth Union projects, 100 percent of the commune-level Youth Union effectively implements at least 1 project associated with environmental protection, building new rural areas and civilized cities; Youth Union levels throughout the province plant and take care of at least 1.5 million trees; etc.

The Secretariat of the Union’s Central Committee agreed with the targets set by the Resolution of the Congress. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Central Council - Nguyen Pham Duy Trang expressed her belief that the provincial Youth Union and union members would be one of the pioneers in implementing digital transformation , helping union members and young people to integrate into the world. Long An youth will be the bright spot in the emulation cluster and the country, the pioneer in digital transformation and international integration.
