In 2019, the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province have strived to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee to achieve many positive results in all fields. 18 out of 21 targets of the Provincial Party Resolution reached and exceeded the plan.
The province's economy has grown well, reaching 9.41 percent. The economic structure has continued to move in the right direction of industry - construction - trade - service, agriculture - forestry - fishery.
People's lives have been improved
People's lives have been improved, GRDP per capita reached 72.67 million VND/person/year, an increase of 7.14 million VND compared to 2018.
The breakthrough programs and key projects of the Resolution of the Xth Provincial Party Congress have focused on implementing and gradually achieving positive results. Total state budget revenue is estimated at 17,040 billion VND, and so on.

Some key targets in 2020: The economic growth rate (GRDP) is expected to reach 9.5 - 9.6 percent, the average GRDP per capita will be 80 - 85 million VND/person/year. Total state budget revenue in the area is expected to reach 16,882 billion VND, local budget expenditure is expected to be 14,625 billion VND. Food production is expected to reach 2.7 million tons, of which high quality rice is 1.4 million tons. In 2020, 8 more communes are expected to meet the new rural criteria. More than 30,000 employees will be created jobs; the province is expected to have 70 percent of trained workers. 50.5 percent of schools are expected to meet the National standard (new criteria). The poverty rate of multi-dimensional poverty criteria is expected to decrease by 0.3 percent compared to 2019. People participating in health insurance are expected to reach 95 percent.
