The Duc Hoa intersection area is the place where two important local historical events took place. On June 4, 1930, comrade Chau Van Liem - Secretary of Gia Dinh - Cho Lon province and comrade Vo Van Tan (Secretary of Duc Hoa District Party Committee) led more than 5,000 Duc Hoa farmers to gather in front of the District Chief's palace to fight against high taxes and repression.

The protest was brutally suppressed. Comrade Chau Van Liem and many other compatriots and comrades sacrificed their lives. Duc Hoa intersection was also the place where soldiers who participated in the Cochinchina revolution in 1941 were shot. On September 5, 1989, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued Decision Decree No. 1570 recognizes Duc Hoa intersection area as a national historical relic.

At the same time, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Long An province - Mai Van Nhieu, along with Vice Chairmans of Provincial People's Committee and the delegation of officials of Long An province and Duc Hoa district came to burn incense at the Victory Stele of Hiep Hoa battle in Hiep Hoa town, Duc Hoa district.

The group laid wreaths, lit incense and paid a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs and generations of revolutionaries who devoted their lives to the revolutionary cause. They also reviewed the heroic and indomitable tradition of Hiep Hoa's army and people 60 years ago. In the context of the US implementing the "special war" strategy, the army and people of Long An once again demonstrated their resilience, winning the Hiep Hoa victory on the night of November 22 and the morning of November 23, 1963.

This is an activity before the 60th Anniversary of the Victory in Hiep Hoa Battle (November 23, 1963 - November 23, 2023) and receiving the Ho Chi Minh Medal./.
